Olive green coat

Thought on how to do this with an olive green coat? I'm thinking cognac or tan boots.

But I'm not sure how to match bottoms. How close a match do I need? What are my best alternatives if I don't have an exact match?

Thought on gloves and or scarf?

Cute coat…if I was doing a column of color, I’d do go with camo pants or an olive/army pants. Than I’d match my hat and gloves to my shoes

I like the idea of camo or army pants too. I have two olive puffers, and my accessories are brown, cream and orange. Black would work too.

Nice coat. Pairing it w cognac & tan sounds good. I would go through your inventory of hats/gloves/scarves & other accessories and maybe mix it up if you can (without buying anything new). Take pictures of possible outfits (pants/skirts) with your coat. Sometimes I see “more” of the outfit when I see it in a picture. I think the more you wear your coat the more comfortable you will feel with your clothing choices. Check out google images for colors that go with olive green. Good luck & have fun

I do this. My only puffer is an olive animal print and I wear it with olive snakeskin pants and olive snakeskin boots. My handbag is a light bronze. If I need a hat I have an olive or a cream or a black beanie and I have black gloves plus cream scarf. I like matching the cream beanie and scarf sometimes.

I love the idea of patterned olive pants!

While not into camo patterns for myself, I like that general direction, (and might work for someone else). I'll keep an eye out for patterned or otherwise textured olive pants, and see if I come across any on various second hand sites

My main winter boots are a deep golden tan. My main hat is marled grey, and my gloves solid gray. I'd like to repeat the tan somewhere... I don't tend to carry a bag. But maybe a sweater worn underneath?

I also have a box of winter things I need to sort through, so maybe I'll have some luck shopping my closet!

I wore blue , black and camo with my olive anorak . Ivory would work too . Not a huge fan of mixing earth tones here tho , but that’s personal .

I mix olives as they seem difficult to match. There are bluish olives, yellow olives, greyish olives and tan/brown olives. An olive animal print would be ideal but I don’t do camo, a personal choice.

My choice would be black and grey pants or jeans, if you don't have olive, and cognac footwear and bag. Maybe animal print scarf.

Try grey or silver pants with the coat. Gloves,watch for olive but I sub in medium grey. My olive coat has white trim so any white works too. I try to find caps to blend with my white hair and wear white boots.

I find most colours work with olive because it is a bit like the colour of leaves and will complement most colours. I prefer to wear olive with whites, creams and brighter colours for contrast and to take it away from a military feel which is what is likely with head to toe olive or wearing a camo print.

I like espresso brown with olive for a calm mood, as an alternative to black and ivory and navy; or other greens that create tension rather than harmonizing (lime or a cool green) for something striking. Champagne gold would be fun too.

I have an olive puffer, but somehow it feels like too much muchness (military/ hunting) to me to wear it with camo or other olive green pants. I like it with black bottoms better.
