These are late 70s/early 80s, I think I was just beginning a slightly boho style?
1. January 1976,I’m almost 15, wearing Mum’s vintage pale blue floral blouse. Mum will be 55- very grey hair- sister is 10.
2. My first date, I’m 15. Borrowed white muslin dress (maxi) from my cousin.
3. 1978, I’m 17. Favoured peasant embroidered blouse, wooden beads, and a self-applied appliqué on the knee of the jeans.
4. 1979, I’m 18. Wearing a vintage 1950s/60s dress that was Mum’s, made by her mother, a dressmaker. I still own it in dress-up cupboard.
5. Late December 1979, I made the blue floral dress and loved it. Mum at left of photo, Dad at right.
6. 1980 on Kawau Island, a small holiday island, with my 5 foot 10 friend. I adored that thrifted “ Hawaiian shirt” and wore it until it fell apart.
7. 1984, my first ever trip abroad, to Fiji. I am 23. Loved that skirt.
