Old outerwear - still on trend?

Happy Sunday all. I've been so excited for Fall that I started to bring out my Fall clothes earlier than normal. It may not have been a good idea since it was almost 80 degrees out yesterday.

Anyway, here are a few of my outerwear that are "on trend" this year and will make the most use out of them.

1. Good will find: a soft buttery leopard coat. Isn't leopard print on trend this year?

2. 14 year old Nordstrom leather jacket in wine color. This is a keeper for me and it still fits.

3. Zara faux leather jacket. I've been wanting to update my jacket and get a leather one from Quince, but decided this will do fine for the year.

4. Remember my black trench coat from Everlane? I wore it to death last few years but it still has some life in it and plan to wear again. (Sorry old photo.)

Lovely coats! Yes, they're all on trend! I love it when I already own a trend. It's been very warm and humid here too, but I've also been excitedly anticipating cooler weather! This fall, I plan to wear a dark grey jacket that I haven't worn for a while. I'm also looking for a knee-length wool coat to replace one that is looking worn. I haven't settled on a colour.

Those look plenty current to me! And yes, the leopard print especially so. Nice burgundy too!

I have a ridiculous collection of outerwear. Most of it is quite classic though so I tend to keep these pieces for years. I still have and enjoy the teal Burberry trench I bought about 12 years ago at a YLF NYC meetup! I don’t wear it a lot, but sometimes it is the perfect choice and I will keep it forever.

Janet - I have way too many outwear myself. I'm just showing you the one's I'm planning to wear. I like to think coats are accessories. If you find a good one, you can keep them forever.

There is nothing better than a lovely leopard faux fur coat. Heads will be turning! I also love the leather jackets over a white T-shirt. I must do that this fall. I'm a fan of having lots of coats and jackets. There is a certain logic to it. If you don't have the right coat, you're either too warm, too chilly, too damp, or too windblown. And they do last forever.

I have too many coats and jackets but they are all classic. And it is all well worn. This is a place where coat or jacket is often needed. Often it is the outfit that is seen.

This is a great collection of jackets, they all look good to me! And I hear you with trying to rush fall, I planned some fall capsules and have rarely worn anything in them, because my area is still stuck on shorts wearing temperatures.
