I'm giving up on boyfriend jeans. I've tried on so many in the past months that I feel like I've gone through ten boyfriend jean speed dating rounds. They just aren't working for me. I know I'm picky: worn, but not holey. Faded, but not torn. Loose, but not so loose that I lose my shape. DH mustn't wince when he sees them. I just couldn't find a pair to work for me.
A couple of weeks ago, I got a few pairs of AE jeans to try on at the suggestion of a forum member. (Shout out to the ever-awesome Texstyle!) As soon as I opened the package, I loved them. I like the low cut and how it made them look a little boyish. I like the fabulous fading. I like that they are slim cut, but not skinnies. More of slim straight leg. I snapped a few pics of them in various states of rolled and unrolled to get an idea how they looked. They aren't styled. I just wanted to capture them before I got too busy. I really like them. I like how they reminded me of jeans that I'd had for a really long time. Just a little loose. A smidge slouchy. Soft. Faded. Not holey yet. And ridiculously cheap. Like $25 cheap.
So that, my stylish forum friends, is why I've ditched my would-be boyfriends and settled in with my old friend jeans. Anyone feel like joining me?
