Okay...I have been a very good girl and have studiously avoided pulling the trigger on the Okala pumps even though I have wanted them for months...because I keep telling myself they are dumb for my climate. But, but, but...I keep seeing amazing outfits with them on this forum! (Ladies, you know who you are!) And I keep thinking, WOW, those are stunning shoes.

Plus, they're on sale now and the price is really right.

So tell me about sizing. I am between a 6.5 US and a 7 US in most shoes. (Euro 37)

I own the SE Pettys in the 6.5 and they are plenty big for me. Enough width and extra toe room to spare at the ends.

But my SE Sutton sandal is a 7 and just barely fits. I ordered the 6.5 but it was too snug and my foot was almost off the edge.

Which size of the Okala would you recommend. I mean, if, theoretically, I were ordering?

I have the Pettys in a 6.5 and they fit just fine. I also have the Okalas in a 6.5 and they are comfortable too.

I'd go with your usual size. I wear a size 8 in shoes about 80% of the time -- sometimes have to go up to a 8.5. My Okalas are an 8 and fit perfectly.

What Janet said. I am mostly a 6.5 and occasionally a 7. My Okalas are a 6.5 and fit perfectly now, after a few wears.

Well, I got my normal size for heels (I'm 9.5 in flats, 10 in heels, which makes tiny heels hard to size). The toe area in these are nice and wide, and that makes the fit very comfortable.

I try to be a VERY rational shoe shopper, and these are irrational in every check box other than "I love them", and it's rare that I fall in love with a shoe that looks and feels great, so I got them and just make concessions to wear them. That means wearing flats into the office and when I need to go to meetings...everyone doesn't get to see my GREAT taste in shoes :P...but it saves my shoes from being gnawed up by the bricks on campus, so I deal.

We are the same shoe size. I ordered the 7 and they seem right to me but I have to say I have not walked far in them.

I have the Pettys in 9.5 and the Okalas in a 9.
BUT, that may be because my feet are narrow and I often wear a smaller size in pointy toes.

Wow, different views here! Hmm. I will bump up for more advice! Of course if I lived in the US I would simply order both and send one back, but it's a bit more complicated here.

I'm excited that so many of you are the same shoe size as me (37 / 6.5). I've also been contemplating the okalas. Thanks for the fit info.

Like yours, Caro -- black and white with tan ankle straps. With my short legs it is really the only option, I think. I hope they fit, too -- though I will be buying and storing until the spring...
