UPDATE - bad news.......I definitely had misgivings ordering from the Sam Edelman site -- it's not Zappos, after all. But, figured that I knew what I wanted, there would be no returns, etc.... The shoes arrived and the box said 8.5 Medium not WIDE, even though it said "8.5W" right on the order. I was so so so disappointed.
So, I called the 800 number for customer service to be sure to at least get the right shoes on the way, and then deal with the return. I waited almost 1 hour on hold, literally! I took a shower, dried my hair, put on makeup....finally they answered.
The rep told me that "Sam Edelman is new to us...." so, there are problems with the outsourced customer service, but she was nice and offered me 20% off on my re-order for my inconvenience. Nice, right? She told me I had to reorder on the website since she was the returns person.
Tried to re-order. No 8.5W. Argh!!!! This time I got right through to a very good CSRep and decided to give the 8W a try, since I had the discount and since the W part is the most important.
They do have more sizes (posted at least) of the various colors than I have seen anywhere else, but caution....it's not Zappos's service!
