I consider them pretty TTS. I usually wear either a 6.5 or a 7 US -- or a 37 EU (which is always better). I got the 6.5 and if anything it is loose on me. But I have narrow heels. My heels flip flop up and down like crazy in these. This happens a lot to me with boots (well, with any shoe) so I am sort of used to it.
At first I got blisters because I stupidly took no precautions and I think I even wore them without socks for some crazed reason. Anyway...for the first few wears, I found them stiff and heavy and a bit "clompy." But once i got used to their actual physical weight and broke them in (about two wears) I began to find them very comfortable. The heel height is ideal for me and the heel is very stable.
I do not find them narrow. I'm not sure if they are shallow. I have a pretty high instep and they are okay for me. My feet are average to slightly wide (forefoot) and narrow (back of foot).
ETA: I added a cushioning insole as per Angie's advice at first ...they are hard on the bottom. But that ended up being less comfortable for me in the end due to the heel issue -- this often happens for me - insoles will put my heel into the wrong place, which may be a "deep/ shallow" issue, I don't know. Anyway, I find them fine without an insole now.
