I've had two distinct bad customer service situations with them.
First I was trying to get a limited edition NARS lip pencil. Over the weekend I called the flagship. They were sold out. I did not want to order it online, because it costs me $5 to receive a package, so not worth it for such a dinky item.
I got busy with work the last few days. But had a small amount of downtime. It was now sold out on the Nordies website. Barneys online had it, but on pre-order.
I called the flagship again thinking they could help me find it. It took three separate phone calls and even talking to a cosmetic manager. They basically said so sorry you are out of luck.
I called the Seattle Barneys figuring I could be be put on a list for when it comes in. They actually had one in stock and held it for me.
After work I picked it up and then did some browsing. I was talking to my sales associate in Via C about it and she was interested in it because she was looking for new red lipstick. She asked if she could scan the bar code. Lots, I mean lots showed up in the Nordstrom store inventory system. Admittedly not in Seattle, though.
Then my sales associate tracked down that Kenzo tiger sweatshirt for me. She was going to get it transferred in and then held for me while we waited for for some other Kenzo stock to come in and then I would purchase the lot on a triple points day. The other store would not transfer it in because it was the last one in the whole company. I had to buy it immediately and then get it shipped.
