Ophelia, you seductress! I might actually be forced to buy one.
The National Gallery of Art had one of the necklaces in their online shop. I had drooled over it for months and wanted to send relatives the link, with a wink & a nudge about my birthday, but it wasn’t there The matching bracelet still was, so I wrote to the museum, asking who the maker is & if it’d be back in stock. They wrote back that they won’t have any more and the maker only sells wholesale, so I wrote back again asking for the name of the maker, so I could look for it elsewhere. They responded that they have gotten in touch with the maker (this company), asking her to get in contact with other customers to see if any still have one, or if they can special order one for me.
So if they come through, it looks like I’m getting myself a birthday present!
In the meantime, I checked out the maker and found that they have two websites—a big one for companies buying wholesale, and this one selling some of her stuff retail. I agree with you that too much time looking at it is dangerous, lol.
Cee, purty is as purty does. You’d have a hard time with the necklaces, of course, because they’d get lost under your cowlnecks.
