I am just so very ecstatic about this I have to talk about it!
Basically since I started wearing bras, I just assumed I was a 34A, and I had never been anywhere or bought anything except for Victoria's Secret. I had never been fitted; I just knew I had small breasts and a 32A was too small, so 34A seemed logical.
I never bothered to get a fitting because the 34A seemed alright; sure it wasn't perfect, but I didn't have any rolls in the back and my boobs are so small that support was never an issue. Literally I would show up to track practice thinking, "Oops I forgot my sports bra. Oh well!" and just sprint like that.
Well after being on YLF I was getting curious about this whole "bra fitting" business and the rave reviews ladies here have given Nordstrom's service. I put off going though because I was afraid of what my measurements would be...I was worried about being a 34AA because sometimes when I laid down my breasts wouldn't fill the cups anymore. I took all sorts of measurements myself, but depending on what method I used I got different answers. So finally I hopped over to Nordstrom.
Oh my goodness. The lady had me fitted, in a dressing room and with about 12 different bras to try on in what seemed like an instant! I was skeptical; she told me I was a 32B, maybe 32C! I'm pretty sure the latter is incorrect, but when I tried on the 32B bras...it's true, a properly fitting bra is life-changing!
I'm so, so happy now! I fill the cups completely, the band fits perfectly under my shoulder blades, and my bras actually perform a function now instead of being just another layer of clothing! Hurrah for Nordies!
Ladies if you haven't gotten a fitting yet, hop to it! Some of the SA's even have this nifty "fitting bra" that they use to determine what brand would fit you most accurately! Really nothing compares to feeling so comfortable as a perfect bra; it's heavenly!
