I remember the Doc Martens of the 90s and they didn't have as much style or panache as the white ones you posted. I have no logic for my "feeling" but I feel the taller pair would be more versatile.

I haven't worn docs for years, but I am really liking those. I am stuck between the cut-puts from the first pair of the longer length of the second pair -- I would have a major shopping dilemma. Which ones are you going for?

Any color /style docs are pretty versatile, b/c wearing them is an unique look that can be worn any season. You could wear white docs in winter too!

(My favorite pair of docs -- and I have had many different ones -- was a pair of high vamp mary-janes in a tan-beige color that I picked up in Seattle in '98. Boy did I wear and wreck those.)

I LOVE the first pair, and I think they are actually pretty versatile. Don't combat boots go with everything? No? Maybe that's just me.

I wasn't originally seriously considering a pair but I'm really missing my knee high docs now the weather is too warm for them. I ended up returning the perforated boots I posted a few weeks ago I figured the beige suede would get filthy quickly, so I could stretch to one of these pairs x
