a few questions:
1) i'm on the hunt for an uber-heavy, double-breasted wool pea coat for my bf (and possibly myself, as i'm always cold!)...we were watching an audrey hepburn movie (wait until dark, 1967), and the lead actor wore a pea coat. it looked so warm...and HOT, if you know what i mean
anyway--i've read that, while navy-inspired pea coats are aplenty, 'official' ones are a little tricky to spot. i know next to nothing about this kind of thing, and am hoping maybe someone here does!
2) also, just how warm/heavy is the j. crew double-cloth lady day coat with thinsulate? i've been drooling over it online, but am extremely hesitant due to the price, despite it's sale status. is it still toasty at 50F? 40F? 30F?
i want a WARM wool coat that will last many years (especially since i tend to wear more skirts/dresses than pants), and if that means looking elsewhere, i will...but god! the dark poppy color is gorgeous *sigh*
thanks so much everyone
