I haven't bought anything at J Crew in ages but after seeing this image I got it in my head that I needed a pair of white drapey pants and these were the most suitable pair that I found. These are satiny, but not exactly satin. I love the shade of blue of this shirt so much, I can't even tell you.
The woman on the left looks like OG, CG and the one on the left looks a bit yachty, but I like them both. (I of course already had a navy blazer and strappy sandals.)
These are definitely not going to qualify as slenderizing for photos but I think the swish and drape might make them better in person. They need hemming. Beyond the inspiration photo, I’ve also shown the blue shirt with white denim jeans, ecru shorts, cami, and heels in various combinations. Comments welcome.
The pockets and all show through, and I would size up, warning to any grandma yachting shoppers out there.
