October purchases and BD gift

My wardrobe “enhancement” should be only 1 item per month but I bought two. Don’t know how I feel about it. On one hand I slipped and duplicated an item in a different color (promised myself not to do it)but on another hand I bought things (jeans) that are hard for me to find. Or so I tell myself.
My birthday gift was supposed to be a Bao Bao bag but when I tried the one I had in mind, I was not as excited as I thought I’d be about it. So, I went with my second option.
Also, in full disclosure, I also bought a beige cashmere scarf (not shown here) as a replacement for my very old wool beige scarf.

1. Levi’s ribcage ankle jeans in blue - replacement for my old 7FAM jeans
2. Levi’s ribcage ankle jeans in black acid wash - unplanned enhancement
3. Cream sweatshirt from Massimo Dutti - planned enhancement. Very sorry for a mess on the background, trying a new spot for taking pictures.
4. Birthday gift - Half Moon bag in taupe from APC

Oh, that bag is sweet! Happy birthday! The jeans look like a really useful purchase, even as duplication -- I duplicated my favorite straight leg jeans (AG Harper) in black and grey, in addition to blue, so you'll hear no criticism from me. The sweatshirt looks fab too.

Lovely wardrobe ‘enhancements’! I duplicated Levi’s wedgie jeans for the same reason as you. I like the sweatshirt with the stripe welt detail and can see its versatility for your wardrobe. Beautiful bag that is just your style. All round these look like very considered additions. Belated birthday wishes!

Ooh - I'll take everything here, please and thank you. That sweatshirt is so chic, if that's at all possible for a sweatshirt. And gorgeous bag. I'd love to see the jeans on you - if you are at all interested in posting a picture. I've been thinking about ordering a pair, because every blog everywhere raves about them, but the word "ribcage" in the description freaks me out. Are they really THAT high waisted?

Janet & lozz_oz, seems I’m in a good company of duplicators!
lisa p, they are higher than any of my other jeans but not extremely so. “Ribcage “ used to spook me, too. This is why I haven’t tried them before. These are a mix of lyocell and cotton, so they are softer and already stretched a bit. I will post a picture tomorrow.

I have these jeans too I think (mine are ribcage straight - I had to get them chopped a wee bit). Mine come to my navel - they are my highest rise and don't have much stretch - but I do love them. The black wash is fun as a mix up as well - has a bit of an 80s flavour.

Sal, these are both straight ribcage in ankle length. I’m so grateful for cropped jeans and pants, all full length bottoms would need to be shortened for 5’3 (160 cm) me.

Minaminu, yes the opening of the bag is tight and the bag is very structured. I hope it will soften with use but I’m not too concerned about it. I’m used to narrow openings on small bags.

I shop less and less. However, I have always maintained a “when you see it, buy it” principle, rather than sticking to a specific pace. If something is a rarity, specific to your style or body shape, you should go for it.
