Thanks Jenn.
For me October will be a continuation of my spring/summer goals. I have a few pieces on the general shopping list that I may purchase over the next 2-3 months.
- lightweight cotton long sleeve top (for over swimsuit, with shorts) - replacement for worn out
- swimsuit - replacement for worn out
- colourful sweater - new, for cool evenings, spring days
- quality tank top (not too clingy, not too sheer) - replacement for worn out
- off white/cream tee/top - new, to wear with green leather and olive cotton jacket
- wildcard shoes - new, something fun and zippy
- new pants (ankle/flare/bootcut??) - new, least needed and may not happen
In September I purchased four things off my list - sunglasses and black relaxed crossover pants, a smart casual day dress, and new olive green shorts (the second two yet to be shown to the forum). The sunglasses and dress were expensive, the pants moderately expensive, and the shorts thrifted for $4.00!! I see the new things being less expensive except for possibly the swimsuit which I will not compromise on.
The first two are almost needs, especially the long sleeve lightweight top - the last five are wants but will add to my existing pieces from last year, and I may get diverted or run out of budget.
I was aiming to purchase 20 items this year (shoes/bags,glasses, clothes), excluding replacement sports gear and underwear. If I stick to the list it will be 23 which is exactly the number I purchased last year!! No promises about exactly sticking to the list though.
The other thing I want to focus on (again) is grooming. Making time to blowdry my hair, doing my nails, and upping my makeup game. I am considering a new hairstyle too but I am not sure. I feel my clothes are mostly okay, but sometimes my slackness about styling my hair can let me down.
Thanks!
