I went to see Ocean's 8 yesterday - it is an entertaining film. And the fashion (and hair, make-up and jewelry) is definitely swoon worthy.

While all the 8 women were well cast and brilliantly dressed in a unique style Cate Blanchett's jackets and pants were my top fashion pick. I would love to see them again to analyse them more closely. Second place for me was Sarah Paulson in her knitwear and cropped pants - again I want to see them again to look at the footwear.

Has anyone else seen the film yet?

Sounds fun. I enjoyed Ocean's 11, 12, and 13 so should go. Would Neil like it? Not too girly?

I went with my Mum and we both enjoyed it. It is a "heist" film - great styling, clever - and the actors are well cast. The clothing and jewelry and hair dos and fashion scene is an important part of it. Lots of men at the cinema I went to (mostly with women though not groups of men).

I haven't seen it yet, but the fashion is one of the reasons I absolutely want to. I've seen the trailer and am already completely digging Cate's outfits!-)

I haven’t seen it yet, but plan to, and I am sure I am going to enjoy the fashion. When watching movies I seem to be checking out the fashion and home design and decor, too. I wonder, do many others do the same?

I want to see it and think DH will come with me because he is a fan of the series of films. What fun the costume department must have had accentuating the characters' personalities via their clothing!

This post and discussion made me think of visiting the secondhand clothing store It's a Wrap! when visiting my sis in LA. The store sells secondhand wardrobe (some never worn) from movies and TV shows. While I don't watch a lot of movies/TV, it is fun to go there and look around. Some of the racks are labeled with what movie/TV show the wardrobe is from. Cinephiles would probably enjoy it even more than I did. I have made some good purchases there.

What always intrigued me about movies with such a high fashion quotient is how work so far in advance- yet seem to get the fashion so right. The costume director/ fashion coordinator must really have their pulse on what’s happening now and great inspiration for what’s going to happen in the future

Good point kkards. I find these movies inspirational for my clothing (I am not planning to become a thief) - and I did like that the women were different ethnicities, heights, shapes and ages.

Back in the day I used to love the clothing on Sex & the City - for the same reason!!
