Obsessed with this work capsule

I came across this capsule set about a month ago and I'm just becoming more and more obsessed with it. So simple, clean, classic, interesting and succinct.

Since seeing it I have been on the hunt for a perfect pair of slim trousers and pussy bow blouse. I'm also coveting the watch and those snakeskin flats! I already own a similar dress, black jacket, trench, and skirt. All that black and cream really speaks to me lately too.

This is a very classic work capsule. You can't really go wrong with some of the pieces and they can be interchangeable with other capsules for a more glam or dressed down occasion.

Ramya, I think this capsule may have been an integral part in inspiring my 12x12 as I already have most of these pieces, and it showed me how many nice looks I can create. The watch and snakeskin shoes wow me, but they're pretty low priority. I already have sweaters and button ups that can sub in here. The bow blouse is pretty much the only item I don't have a sub for and I'm on the lookout for it. I think I'm so inspired by this capsule because it's so succinct and simple and I own most of it. This is also a reminder to me that basics can look wonderful when the tailoring and quality are nice.

That is one gorgeous group of clothes. Just yummy! I can see why you're obsessed. Would you sub in a pair of your boots for the snake shoes? I love the idea of adding a PB blouse. I think I'd like one of those too. I was surprised that they said it only makes 10+ outfits. Looks like it would make more.

Having an inspirational capsule to guide your wardrobe purchases, especially if you already own parts of it, can be very useful. As Ramya points out, if you are trying to limit your purchasing, it's also a good way of checking to see if an item is worth considering as one of your 12.

I found packing for a March trip to San Francisco this year difficult because I had a hard time coordinating my transitional pieces. I used one of Vivienne's spring capsules to help me because the capsule included several pieces similar to ones that I already owned; I only needed a sweater, a trench, and a pair of casual flats to complete the capsule. These were three of my twelve items that I bought this year and they have worked out beautifully.

The amazing thing to me is how different each look is with just a few pieces (because 4 of them are accessories).
