I was with client Bridget yesterday, and we styled almost ALL her everyday Spring & Summer looks with these two pairs of sneaks:

The white Ecco sneakers are so fab, Angie. I think I need white trainers and a pair of Snakeprint slip - on sneakers now!

Lately I'm obsessed with pure gear sneakers, specifically Adidas tubular sneakers and Adidas slip on sneakers. They've got some really cool faux-knit fabrics, and these bands that go across the top and give a bit of a loafer look...I find the design exciting. I would wear them with cropped leggings only with a slouchy top.

I don't feel comfortable wearing gear sneakers with jeans or anything. I feel not "me".

Maneera, you look just so fab in your skirts and sneakers! I don't wear short skirts anymore and wearing them with longer skirts just seems wrong on me. I think I saw others also say that longer or midi length skirts make them feel dowdy, but maybe my eye just needs to warm up. I just spotted this blogger sporting the look and I think she looks great.

Maneera, I have these snake print slip-ons from two years ago. I don't know if they are available anywhere else now, but they are great shoes.

Colette, I like that style too (although even if I duplicated that outfit, I couldn't bring myself to wear all-white sneakers with the dark outfit, I would just feel too weird). I just can't imagine it looking that cool on me. Maybe it's because I'm not model-thin -- I think that helps everything look cooler. Just curious, what blogger is that?

Janet, I totally agree with you, I think everything looks great on all the super thin bloggers and models and not me because I'm not nearly model thin.

Here is the blog: http://www.the-middlepage.com/

But you are taller than me so I bet you could pull it off. I just look short and wide.

I have never been a big sneaker person, I think because there are way too many mom-jeans with tennies around here - not a good look in general. But these photos really are inspiring. I think I would like slip-ons the best, definitely adding to my mental list. I am another short person here, only 5'2", so the proportion is really important.

Maneera, I'm with you--I love my sneakers, too! I have two pairs of lace-ups, one low, flat and one high-top with a hidden wedge. The low ones I wear as an oxford substitute. The high tops I wear as a bootie substitute. It's pretty much that simple. I find wearing them with skirts is hard, so I guess my high-tops don't exactly equate to booties, because I do wear booties with skirts, quite easily. But I am challenged when it comes to oxfords with skirts--love the look on others, but I often don't love the look on me.
I really like your inspiration photos, and I can see you in any of those looks. You've inspired me with a few of them, too, especially 1, 4, and 7 in the first set and 9 in the second set!
Here are a couple of photos of my sneakers in outfits.

Maneera, these are not all snakeprint, but I found a few pairs of animal print slip-on sneakers that I think are available in your neck of the woods.

Yoox has quite a few slip-on sneakers in other fun patterns and colours too, by the way.

Smittie - I love the black ones. They really have my name written ALL over them. But I was thinking of getting these (#1)

Colette - after having recently seen your 'dress search' pictures - I'd say you can DEFINITELY wear this!!! Hell, you're far more gorgeous and slim than many bloggers!!!! I can SO see you in this outfit with black/blue sneakers.

Janet - thanks a bunch! Infact, your post with all your sneakers (old & new) is where I really noticed Snakeprint sneakers and instantly wanted them too. I wear Snakeprint sandals ALOT...so I thought - why not sneakers?!

Robin - I'm barely 5' 3.5". And my sister who is just 5' wears slip on sneakers ALOT. Honestly, it's all in the proportions....

Sharan I really love HOW COOL you look in sneakers. I think you're an inspiration for me too....a real life inspiration! I'm going to save your picture and put it in my collection of 'inspiration' pics.

Inge - Thankyou! You're the best! I already have leopard print slip-ons but I'm totally getting the H&M ones next. I saw others too....pics below

I ran across these slip on sneakers on Zappos and ordered the grey ones, which are super comfortable (my feet are low volume) and I like the shape and look, but they don't quite warrant a spot in my wardrobe. They come in a lot of patterns and colors....I am still thinking about the two prints shown below along with the grey.....

Chris - I love the grey ones. Very versatile. Will go with EVERYTHING!

I like the B&W batik print too....really cool shoes. From personal experience, I know I don't wear patterned shoes as often as I wear 'plain' color ones. The only exceptions are animal prints....those I tend to treat as neutrals. But there is no reason why you couldn't rock the batik print sneaks!
