I live in a snowy part of Ontario and we had a huge pile of snow this week. Christmas eve we went to a private members only golf course for lunch and a couple entered in scruffy jeans and big snowy work boots. I don't know if they looked around and changed their mind or were asked to leave but they didn't stay.
FWIW, I had on a black pencil skirt, and velvet blazer and hubs was in a suit.
