We've spent the past three weeks in Paris and here are my fashion-related thoughts:
-the Outerwear that everyone is wearing is a lightweight down jacket with horizontal stitching. All ages, children through grandparents. All colors.
-the Windows are full of Red, Mustard, and Ink. And your favorite Neutrals.
-Trench Coats are nowhere to be seen, even in the rain.
-did not see a single pair of Slingback shoes, flat or otherwise. Everything was closed at the heel and the toe. No Doc Martens-type footwear on anyone.
-nothing was worn 'sloppy' or oversize; everything worn close to the body.
-saw a decent smattering of solid-colored, collarless fall-weight coats.
-Scarfs such as Hermes worn only by older, dignified-looking women.
-Mufflers worn by men, women and children but not teenagers.

And finally, the Christian Dior exhibit is magnificent. Better than the Dries van Noten in 2014 due to the presentation. If you have a chance to see it, run, don't walk. And buy your ticket in advance, online. The lines are stupendous. And if you go, please note that the second part of the exhibit is in a different area of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. We almost missed the most glorious part of the exhibit!!!

ETA I am embarrassed to post a photo of myself looking so disheveled and wrinkled but, there it is! The setting is Loulou, the museum's lovely restaurant in the Tuileries.
