In Jules' rainboot thread, Aubergine noted the one thing that bugs me about my Hunter Lonny boots: the prominent logo.

Any suggestions for obscuring the logo? No, I'm not about to try sharpie.

It's possible I'm the only visible-branding-averse person on the boards. But if not, I'd love to hear other examples of reducing logo glare.

------------------------UPDATE--------------------
Coming back to this, as the handbag-tag thread raised some awareness in my thinking about my own array of relationships to logos/branding.
I'd had no idea that Hunter was an aspirational brand for some circles, bc where I'd worked prior to moving here, everyone had rain boots and Hunter was just a lower-middle option.

So it was a jolt when women who previously hadn't given me the time of day (in a volunteer setting) suddenly got chatty wanting to know about my boots. That riled up my no-free-advertising hackles, but especially my aversion to the way this group of women ...never mind, I don't want to start an argument about effectiveness of types of volunteer work vs. some people's use of mentioning that they're involved with a given project, regardless of whether it's making any positive difference for purported targets. Whatever.

I thought about covering the logos. In the weeks after posting here, while considering your solutions, I finally realized - meh. I don't have to interact with those women, nor change my own neutrality around that particular logo just because some NQJL honeys suddenly approoooove.

Maybe I'll still print (3D) glow-in-the-dark clips to sit over the logos, but that would be more of a goofy thing to wear at night rather than to obscure the logos in general.
