Nude-for-you socks with high shaft booties?

Curious if anyone has tried nude-for-you socks with higher-shaft booties as a warmer/more comfortable alternative to sheer knee-highs? Something like SmartWool cable socks, or plain or ribbed socks? Or do you think that would look goofy?

Can't help.. I don't like the socks showing, I really prefer

sheer knee-highs.

I think for the intentional " sliver of skin" thing with cropped pants, socks don't work if they're continuous. And being nude- for- you wouldn't help that , in my view, and so then, if matched to boot or pants , it'd be sort of like what's the point.
I have seen some booties plus scrunched socks plus rolled pants that seem fun for casual, on some people.
That's why I think the look, while fun, has a lot of proportions to keep straight and can be tougher to create IRL.

With higher shaft booties, for me I like about 4 to 5 inch shaft, iI wear socks the same color as the boots sometimes. The reason-----Pants move up when sitting downAnd SHows TooMuch Leg.. BUT this is when shimmies are not soo calf squeezing.

The other sock looks depend on the outfit, proportions, tv. If you have long legs, or are tall, it can be a good look.

I haven't tried it, but I will keep it in mind. I have a really casual lifestyle, so I tend to wear colorful striped and patterned socks and don't mind them showing when I sit and have my cropped pants on.

I think the texture of the socks is a dead giveaway that it's not bare leg (plus I personally have never found a good nude-for-me match in a non-sheer fabric). In that case, I'd rather go intentional and wear something like a bright color.
