Now THAT's a belt!

I was snooping around the internet looking for belt keepers. Is it just my low-end purchases, or do belts seldom come with keepers anymore? My new belt has a stud closure off to the side, so some extra belt length is a necessity but it's not quite enough to get to the next belt loop. I need a keeper, right?

Anyway, my search took me to this amazing store--Tom Taylor, https://tomtaylorbuckles.com/p.....y/buckles/ where I spied the most amazing crocodile belt (strap only!) and some eye popping buckles to go with it.

OMG Emily!! Wow! Thank you for thinking of me. What a treat to see. Really beautiful and interesting pieces at telephone number prices!! I hope those buckles are precious metals for the cost, I was afraid to look!! But it reinforces the idea of belts are jewelry. I do find for the money, b-low the belt has some really nice pieces. Heavy hardware and good quality leather. What surprises me is how well these pieces transpose into formal wear. Nothing more fun, imho, that putting an embellished belt on with my riff on "le smoking" and works as well with jeans. Amazing how yes, everything is available at every price point!! I just bought these too belts, I usually don't wear gold hardware but I bought the VB kennedy jacket and the Smythe lace corded jacket both with gold buttons.

Haha, Gryffin..."telephone number prices", I love that. I was thinking, "...car?...belt?.....car?....belt?..." while making scale/balancing gestures and rolling my eyes around in the back of my head. But the pieces are really beautiful! And I enjoy knowing the full scope of what is out there in the marketplace--the knowledge informs my choices even when my price point is quite different.
