Now that everyone is ordering puffers...

I had a look and that Lands End puffer is one sale here too. It still costs 70€ though. They still have the blue one in petite and xs. Should I try it? The other coat I ordered some time ago was too big (it was a size s), so do you think the xs would work?

I still need a new wintercoat.

Thanks Shannon, I think you're right. I'm going to order it. I don't have to pay in advance with Lands End and returns always went well so far.

I just ordered it, I found a code to use so I got it down to 56€.

That seems like a great value if it works - I just ordered some pants and a skirt from LE (as I have no need for a winter coat like that) and when I have had to do returns with them in the past it has been easy. Fingers crossed that it works!

Thanks Christieanne. I really need a new coat, I had to wear my old one last winter because I couldn't find anything, but I can't do that again. It would be great to have that covered.

You are soooo smart for ordering this coat now...here in Seattle we are just now getting two days of sunshine in a row, though the temp is not too high at 73 F where I live. So thoughts of a chilly winter are very much in the background at the moment.

I have shopped online at Lands End for several years and you will enjoy their superior customer service. Talking to one of their operators is always a pleasure, if you need to return anything. They are always knowledgeable and well-mannered. Good luck!

Thanks Sheila! The weather's alright here, if not summery. I wasn't thinking about winter at all at the moment, but we had very cold weeks the last two years, so the coat would be useful.

Fingers crossed, Astrid. I was going to suggest biting the bullet even at 70 euros, but with the code, this is now looking like a pretty good price for a sole (or even main) winter coat.

Did they have only this one you have ordered, Astrid? I can not find on Germans Lands End Website any puffer coats at all...

Thanks Manidipa, I would have probably ordered the coat in any case, but that code certainly made the decision easier.

Maga, they have a few different ones, not in all sizes of course. You have to go to the sale part of the homepage first or you don't find them.

Hmm... Their clothes run big - does it also mean longer than usual sleeves? I'm 164 cm - not the talles person, but also not really petite... May I ask, how tall you are, Astrid?

I'm 160 cm and the sleeves of the one coat I ordered there once in a regular size were much too long. It might be worth a try.
