Can you tell I'm getting ready to do a returns run?

Ordered this jacket on a whim, and I can't decide. I don't know if it feels like me as part of Angie's bomber-pencil formula, but I feel pretty good about it with slouchypants.

Do I look like I'm in costume?

I think I like it, Rae but I would also want to see a size up - it looks pretty fitted for a bomber to me.

I like it although I'm not sure of the pink in your wardrobe... am half-heartedly searching for something floral myself. The fit is perfect and looks great with the pants.

I think it looks awesome! Great wild card for spring/summer. I do prefer a more fitted jacket, so personally I would not size up, even though that might be more on trend. I think it looks best open, in photo #4, but you've styled it well in all the photos.

LOVE it in #1. I think the fitted shape is good there with the pants. It might need a size up with the skirt -- not sure. If you feel like you are in costume, of course, that's no good. But it's awfully pretty on you in a non-twee way.

No seriously it looks great in #1 and very good in #2, either this size or bigger.

In terms of costumey, that kind of depends on your comfort level/style identity. I don't think it's inherent to the garment?

It's not my usual taste, but I strangely like it. I like #1 and #4. I might size up for a more modern fit, but it looks really good, flattery wise at this size too.

Gorgeous! I want it! I particularly like it in #2. As for the size, if it's not a problem to find it in a larger size it would be worth a comparison, but it certainly works as is.

How do you feel in it? Will having this in your wardrobe open doors for new looks? Or would it keep you from purchasing something you need more?

I opened this thread assuming before ever looking at the pics that Rae in pink - pink floral no less! - was not going to work. I assumed it wouldn't look like "you". I stand corrected, though, because I LOVE this jacket on you! You seriously look fab, and while I love it with the pants, it goes great with a skirt, too. I vote keep.

Well first thing...does it fit your fabric content requirements? I remember that you don't like jackets with linings that make you hot.

This is an unexpected item for you, but I do think you look great in it! I like it best with black bottoms. #1 has a feminine tomboy vibe which does fit in with your style. Have you tried it with bf jeans? Maybe if you pair it with masculine bottoms/shoes?

Thanks, ladies! I have ordered the size 8 to compare. It says it is "slim fit," which made me already size up to 6, but it can't hurt to see.

Funny, I didn't realize it, but #1 is pretty much the way they styled it at Lulu (yes, another Lulu jacket... so yes, it's also breathable).

I like it best with the slouchypants for you because you can toughen it up enough to offset the pink flowerness. With the skirts I think tough boots are in order. Looking forward to seeing the larger size, that'll be a great look!

That is a fantastic point, Aida. In that case, I think this piece may be falling into place... baggy denim shorts, ripped BF jeans, slouchypants, menswear-inspired trousers (?), camo jeans, sweatpants, bermuda shorts, dressy basketball shorts...

I'm not usually a fan of florals but I've been finding myself more drawn to them lately and this sporty floral combo is so cool

Might have to copycat you here, since I've been looking for a lightweight jacket to wear post workout and I love that this one could actually be worn with "regular" clothing as well and not look like I just threw on a gym jacket over my outfit.
