I bought one item in November--a cashmere duster/dress from Naadam (see find and photo)--bringing my total for the year to 21 items so far. I'll confess, though, I ordered three more things in Black Friday sales. If any of them work, I'll tell you about it later in December.

I had, let's say, some churn in November. We went back to Colorado for Thanksgiving and, while packing, I realized how many of my cold weather clothes weren't going to make the cut for the trip. I also had a few pieces wear out, so...I retired three items and added another ten to my holding zone. Thirteen items gone, one item added!

Here's all the deets:

In our yearlong shopping challenge, I committed to buying 31 or fewer items (not counting undergarments).

January - 0 items

February - 5 items

March - 2 items

April - 2 items

May - 4 items

June - 1 item

July - 2 items

August - 0 items

September - 1 item

October - 3 items

November - 1 item

This brings my total purchases for the year to 21 purchases. You can see all my 2019 purchases together in this collection. I've retired 29 items this year and added 10 to my holding zone, so my wardrobe is shrinking. All in all, I have 102 items total in my closet, if I count all categories except jewelry, underwear and sleepwear (though I am counting sleep/lounge in my 31 purchases and my retirements.)
