This is a great idea. As soon as I read this announcement I signed up. I was afraid to sign up before because I was afraid to have my posts visible to everyone.

This is a great change! Now I might stop hiding my pics so fast.

Catnip, just in case I gave the wrong impression I want to clarify that your posts will still be visible to all, but the pictures will only be visible to active members.

Mo, that's true. Right now the first picture will still be visible in what you called the "window pane" view and a few recent photos will be visible on the home page. Thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks Greg, I appreciate anything that can be done to add some privacy to photos.

Sounds good to me! In particular, I've been concerned about photos of members' kids floating around in cyberspace so this seems to be a good move.

Good idea! I've never been to a forum where people posted pictures of themselves so freely. The security of it all has crossed my mind many times.
I bet this will make a few lurkers ( like myself! ) come out of the woodwork. I just couldn't bear the thought of not being able to see all the fabulous clothes and outfits everyone posts! I HAD to join!

It made this lurker come out of the woodwork! I've been reading ylf every day for over two years, and just fine with lurking. But I couldn't bear not seeing the photos, so I had to finally join. And may I say what a fabulous community, I have enjoyed reading and following everyone and have learned so much! What a generous group.

Another long-time lurker who came out of the woodwork here. I learn so much from everyone's outfit posts that I didn't want to give up seeing the pictures. With this new feature, I just might post a few pictures of my own someday!

Yet another long-timer lurker. I read YLF couple of times every day, and enjoy the forum a great deal. I hope one day I can start posting my WIW pictures.

I really appreciate this change. I've been hesitant to post pictures, given that I've recently become "more visible" in my work, for various reasons, and do not want anyone work-related to come across my photos on this site. I'm super busy with life these days, but this change may just tempt me back to posting. Thanks for the change.

And, Greg, I didn't get a chance to wish you happy birthday on your birthday post, but I hope you had a terrific day.
