Pretty sandal but I'm with others that the noise factor makes them a no for me. But now you know what to look for!

Well, I have taken some time to decide. Because I was already going to return the Rollies green sandals but keep the pretty blue pointy shoes, it made no difference convenience wise either way. I have said before that I feel bad about returns to Styletread because it involves a 3-hour flight across the Tasman Sea from NZ to Australia. I guess in the US or Canada your countries are so large 3-hour flights for returns might happen anyway?
I did try to get the second pair Brooklyn suggested instead, the Easy Steps brand, but my size EU36 was sold out on both The Iconic and ShoeHQ. I also tried on some local white leather pairs but not quite right and still over $200. I waited a while as I did quite like these despite the sucking sound which seemed to be improving walking around the house on carpet, but ultimately found I didn’t want to put them on style-wise as felt too chunky for me somehow.
When I have wanted to put white sandals on, at the moment I am putting on my dainty white sneakers with tiny flowers on instead. I can wear those in summer without socks.
So the white sandal hunt is now being deferred until after Christmas. Or even after summer, in time for the following year. Thank you all for your help. Thanks especially to Brooklyn and to Janet who suggested a couple of US brands Sorel and Seychelles which I also looked up and indeed they did have similar styles, but none in my size on DSW or Zappos at the moment. I also prefer not to ship from the USA!

Good decision, Jenni. They just were not "you" enough and no reason to buy if they are not needed and not what you're truly wishing for. Sometimes when this has happened to me, another colour of neutral has somehow taken the place of the most beloved or sought-after colour and it has led to a style evolution of sorts. And then eventually I have found the HEWI and was glad I waited. Though sometimes it can take a while! Anyway, you will feel better at not spending on something that doesn't please you 100%, despite the returns issues.

With returns here...yes, sometimes there are long flights (also for online deliveries, for that matter.) This is why I like to make in-person returns when I can (even if I ordered online). But increasingly this has become difficult because all the B&M stores are closing. But returns to some of the places I shop at most stay within the province, which is not as bad.

Thank you Suz. They are being collected by the courier today. I wonder if I will still want some when I have gone another few weeks without any. I have silver but they are too dressy for casual wear and otherwise only have colours. But I agree that sometimes making do with something else can cause a mild style evolution! It will be interesting to see.

Glad you went with your gut instincts, Jenni!

I suspect you'll miss white sandals. Your sandal season is long, after all! You can absolutely make do with your floral sneakers until you find just the right pair

Thanks Angie! It is a long sandal season, often November to March inclusive so 5 months. Today I am wearing the sparkly red ones though- photo on our downstairs red, black, white and grey rug xx

Wise decision, Jenni. Your white sandals will come along now that you've released the not-quite-right ones.
