Planning what to wear for a baby shower tomorrow. I had hoped to debut my new dress, but the weather is not cooperating! I won’t wear hose and 11C is too cold for bare legs.

Soooo, the runner up is a new pair of white barrel jeans , floral top (shout out to kellygirl for posting about this lovely top, and I think Carla has it as well ) and a shacket ( before I knew shackets existed) from Zara.

Anyone else having their outfit hopes messed up by the weather?

Weather isn't affecting plans for a specific event, but I can still relate to the challenge!

I think your runner up outfit looks fab. That top gives a delicious spring feel to the outfit, and in concert with that bag -- well, it's a great mix.

I'm truly envious of your ability to carry off those barrel jeans.

I hope it warms up. We're supposed to reach 20 degrees by the end of next week but are being rained on very heavily this weekend (AGAIN).

Lol….i finally took my wool sweaters to the dry cleaner and it snowed the next week. The good thing is my cotton sweaters, which i love, but usually they have a short spring season, are getting plenty of wear this year.
But this looks fab…and perfect for a baby shower

LJP we’re quads! I’ve been able to get more seasonal wear by layering a uniqlo heat tech tee under it. Bust yours out more often!

You look fabulous for the baby shower. The bag looks so good with your top, I would baby it too. I have a similar top but probably older from Karen Kane and looked at the bag site but reviews tended to agree that the bag is not as well made as earlier versions.

Yes, I'm looking at the weather forecast for this coming Saturday: sunny with a high of 12 C. I'm going to a Celebration of Life, I'm not sure that the outfit I've chosen will be warm enough: a lightweight skirt and linen shirt. Might have to add hose and/or change the shirt for something warmer, like a sweater!

Thanks Joy, while I love Ted Bakers florals I’ve got him on my do not engage, do not buy list.
Weather is so unpredictable isn’t it BarbaraD ….good idea to plan for options. If I’m driving, I’ll often throw a few things in the back seat, jacket, shoes etc just to be prepared.
Yay Angie! Oh I’m doing a happy dance for you! This has been an amazing dress/skirt season for you! The stocking of this dress was just the craziest thing…depending on where you lived in the world and the day of week, you never knew what colour would be available! Do you think Nordstrom’s was just messing with us?

So frustrating about the weather. It's been really cool here, too. And wet. I haven't had plans for a specific event messed up but I still haven't done my seasonal switchover because I keep needing the merino sweaters!

Haha yes, my yellow dress is one such outfit - I had planned to wear a very lightweight look, since HK's sandal weather usually lasts from March - October. But then Eid ended up being the coldest recorded May day in Hong Kong since 1917. And it rained, to boot!

So I had to wear trousers then change into the dress with a thin top underneath

I’m basically figuring out that my idea of “spring weather” is based on the 2 states where I lived 30 of my first 35 years, not where I am now (even though 3 of those years were here).
