Not in Seattle fashion choices

So this is sign than I'm definitely not in Seattle. I went to local ShopKo to get my father some ibuprofen.
They had a big sale table with these RealTree camo purses, in pink, cream and natural.

The funny thing about RealTree and TreeBark camo patterns. They don't work around here at all. In the mountains there are a lot of Ponderosa and lodge pole pines.

When I go into Cabela's nearly everything is camo. We're in a desert - virtually no trees!

Speaking of camo, I was at a bookstore the other day and a woman in desert camo military fatigues was leaving the same time as me. She had a normal brown leather purse slung over her shoulder. It looked kind of strange.

Also fashion camo is WAY different than the real stuff.

Yes, well Cabela's is from Nebraska, so their focus is probably more on the mid west which would have hardwoods (whereas we have conifers). We're not hunters but sometimes we go there when we're looking for something outdoorsy (binoculars, boots, etc.) and it's interesting to wander through the store. These suits are fun:
