Not a sneaker fan but...

Why am I the only one on this forum who loves sneakers? Like LOVE them. Want to collect all of them. Am I that person who doesn't know when she's a tad too old and uncool for a trend like this?

Lisa, for me it's not about being old and uncool! You know that I do and wear pretty much what I want. It's more that I've always thought of sneakers as gear and I see way too many of them in my environment. I also find them hard to style in a way that feels like me.

I love them too! But for me, they feel like spring/fall items, and our spring and fall are short seasons -- I'm in boots or sandals before I get much of a chance to wear anything else. And you are most definitely not "too old or uncool" for sneakers!

Lisa, I love sneakers too. On my summer wishlist is something with bold color. Usually it's price that holds me back, I feel like maybe they don't go on seasonal sales as much as sandals or boots do or something. I end up paying for a pair of high quality running shoes for gear (and not looks), and then not wanting to pay the same amount for sneakers that are primarily for fashion, even though they are so comfortable for everyday wear. I think I need to rethink this more, hmm.

Those are AMAZING. And somehow a pair of shiny blue sneakers found their way into my cart during the CH President's Day sale, so I'm not about to throw stones...

Those are fab! I find the soles on most Pumas a little too thin/flat for comfort though.

Oh I know what you mean about the seasonality . I have all of these sneakers (which are totally different looking than my athletic ones) and get to wear them about 5 times before , like Janet, I'm in sandals or boots. I am actually wearing some black snake/reptile-textured ( i have no idea what it is but i am quite sure it doesn't fit my mission to go vegan) ones from Vince right now for all of the work travelling I have to do. They are great for airports and airplanes. Who cares about snow:)

Lisa, I love sneakers too. Today I'm wearing Gucci reflective silver leopard sneakers that I got ridiculously cheap as they were about to be sent to the Rack.
My shearling lined sneakers got a lot of use.
I'm still fiddling around styling the Rick Owens white high tops.
Plus others & I'm still looking at more . But not the slip on kind, I'm over that style.

Ugh, I've had those metallic silver Pumas in my cart on Zappos forever, and I think (lemming that I am), I will press the button. LOVE them. I also love the metallic Chuck's you bought, though I prefer the Pumas for their sleeker silhouette.

Another sneaker fan! I would wear either of those Pumas happily (if they fit -- I've found Pumas run small ... and my feet run big so I am at the top of the size range). They are certainly more fashion-forward than any in my collection.
