I took my Michael Kors belt back tonight and was a little surprised. The belt is obviously falling apart. At first I thought the sales associate wasn't going to take it back. She finally said she couldn't find it on my customer profile.
I told her I had ordered it on line. She then asked for my card and researched it for the transaction. I couldn't remember whether I had put it on my credit or debit card so she had both cards. I know she had to verify it but how to they verify a transaction like that. Can the sales associate access the bank? It made me uncomfortable. It's my fault because I didn't have the receipt.
I have a new belt and I will keep receipts for at least a year now.
