Nordstrom vs. Shopbop online shopping

Just wondering how Shopbop compares to Nordies for online shopping? In particular to Canada. I have only ever bought a foundation from Nordies online...no problems. I know they are good for customer service. The blouse I want to buy is on both sites but I would pay a bit less from Shopbop, but just wondering if they are just as reliable?

I'm just trying to buy from Shopbop for the first time. I know CocoLion buys from them.

Shopbop is wonderful as an online retailer. VERY quick and free shipping and I can see from the reviews on various items that MANY of their customers are outside the US (Asia, Australia, etc). I've had great luck with price adjustments, etc (much like Nordstrom) and am a loyal customer!

It depends on what you want.

Classic merchandise = Nordstrom

Trendier = Shopbop

Fast shipping = both

Shipping everything in one box = ONLY Shopbop, Nordies ships everything separately which can drive me crazy because they ship from stores, not from one warehouse like Shopbop

Returns processing = I believe Shopbop is faster.

Free shipping and returns = Both

Free shipping and returns to Canada = I don't know! Shopbop *might* do this -- you should check.

I'm in Canada and the first place I look is always Shopbop. Their shipping is super fast (and free) and returns are fairly seamless. I had a problem a couple weeks ago, a purse I ordered arrived without the strap and they rectified the problem lightening fast. I really love Shopbop!

I've only ordered from Nordstrom twice, and I haven't experienced a problem. But I haven't had to return anything either. They use Fifty-One if I believe, which hasn't always been the best for me. I know Norstrom has great service, but I think their channels to Canada are still lacking. I'm looking forward to the new stores opening here in Canada though. I think Calgary is first!
