So last night I realized my favorite pajamas have bitten the dust as I could see huge swaths of daylight in the crotch. And it's gotten cold in Seattle and I need new commuting gloves preferably pop-top to easily handle bus passes and phone.
So after work I headed to Nordstrom. I got these pajamas in the grey macaron (NOT macaroon) pattern

And these pop-top mittens, in black

My sales associate, who works in Via C, showed me all sorts of new cool stuff like a like a mixed fabric and leather Helmut Lang jacket, a leather and fabric hoodie (can't find them on the website), even this

But I wasn't tempted....at all. She even called me out on my obsession with Smythe jackets, even they NEVER fit me.

I bought my pajamas and gloves...and went home.
I don't know if it's due to me being finally satisfied with my closet, or that after five years of wearing scrubs I realize I have very little free time to wear real clothes. It was such a strange sensation.
