Nordstrom Service still rockin' it

Just went to Nordies Rack to return my puffy failures, and have to say I was impressed. I didn't have proper receipts and they fixed me up smooth. I almost didn't try doing it at The Rack because of my receipt snafu, but I'm glad I did!

Their customer service is just outstanding! And I really appreciate that. (I had no idea you could return Nordstrom store purchases at Nordstrom Rack.)

I think if you purchased something with your Nordstrom card in the last month or so they can bring it up on their system, at least at Nordstrom. I'm less sure about the Rack. If something is really old, they can't bring it up or if your Nordstrom purchase went to the Rack they can't find the price you paid.

The Rack managed to look up my Nordstrom purchase with my card number. I was impressed. I wasn't at all confident they could bridge systems like that. Their website frankly sucks.

They are really great aren't they? I can attest that they will do whatever they can to look it up (if card doesn't work they will try your email if you had receipt emailed). They can search farther back than 30 (even past 90) days. And they never shame you for returning (even too late). I stopped shopping Ann Taylor years ago because they always gave me an attitude for returning and insisted on filling out forms and taking down my driver's license.

Yup they are the best. They have made a business decision to offer the absolute best possible customer service, from the policies they set, to the workings of their online ordering system, to the training they give and behavior they expect of their employees. They seem to value the customer coming back ready to buy again above all else.

SA's at other companies that do that negative "attitude" thing about returns only do it because their management doesn't care or maybe encourages it.

Yes that's an official policy! You can return Nordstrom purchases to the Rack everywhere!

I love that NAS purchases are treated like full price purchases for alterations purposes. Thus, the leggings I needed to have shortened didn't go through the charge + Nordstrom Note routine.
