Interesting news, Angie!! Can't wait until Nordstrom's opens here and I can check it out in person....

Thanks for the news, Angie. Is the idea that this will be trendier styles than Point of View stocks?

Nadya, Savvy is a fashion forward dept. The new line will compete with Zara apparently. Much more trendy than Point of View.

Wow, that IS interesting. Nordstrom is really becoming THE place to shop. I cannot believe that two years ago I was googling "NAS"...having no idea what it was. For me, Nordstrom's hasn't been THE place I check first for everything. The reason is that I feel that it is no risk shopping and their products are good quality.

The name is perfect . "Savvy". Marketing did their job well. : )

Hurray !

Oh. This is interesting, indeed. I'll be excited to check it out.

Thanks, Angie. The only overlap I was seeing was similar price points and perhaps age as POV is on the more affordable end and skews a bit younger than some departments. You've helped me sort it out and I'm looking toward to checking out the revamped Savvy!

That's great news Our one Nordstrom is rather small and not all that well stocked in Savvy/Individualist, so I wonder how it will all shape up?

I was excited to hear we'll be getting a second Nordies in our area, but not until 2015 and all the way on the opposite side of both towns from me (we have two major metro areas, one on each side of the Mississippi), but it might be able to carry different stuff and between the two Nordies we'll have more to choose from

Interesting and a smart move on Nordstrom's part. I love the idea that I can go to Point of View for more classic pieces and then over to Savvy to trend it up. I do wish the price points were more like $125 or less rather than $98 or less but that's just me being picky:)

Very interesting. I'm keen to go check it out now, right now! It sounds smart to me, I agree there's a hole there.

Hmm...I guess I'm a spanner as I'm not totally sure how I feel about this. I'm NOT a fan of Zara or similar stores--their merchandise just never has the quality I'm looking for, nor do I enjoy the shopping experience of those stores. I love my Nordies but this will definitely narrow down (yet again) the departments I visit. I can see how this will appeal to a younger set (and bring in more business for the store as a result), but I also can't help but wonder if it's not perhaps going somewhat afield from the Nordstrom concept, as originally envisioned (eg, the highest quality and the best service).
