Nooo! My bag is gone :(

I'd finally decided to take the plunge on the Sak Crossbody Flap bag I wrote about here:

Only to discover it's no longer available in the color I wanted, Twilight. I'm so sad. There's one on ebay for twice the price, but I can't make myself pay that much when it was just over $100 on Nordies yesterday.

Do any of you YLF sale sleuths have any tips or ideas for me on tracking this down, or should I just admit defeat?

Could you settle for a different color? I would also recommend setting up an ebay search alert so that if/when one of them does show up on ebay you will know about it right away.

Keep checking any outlet stores near you- I have seen Sak bags at both Ross and Marshall's lately.

I would buy the saffron in a heartbeat. At least with the colors I happen to wear, yellow goes with (almost) everything. Do you think it would be the same with you?

Thanks, everyone--I didn't think of calling them--that's OK to do? I have this weird phobia of annoying the shop people with obvious or inane questions.

I did think of just getting the saffron, but unfortunately I can't envision it working with my wardrobe as well as I can the blue, and I am a real minimalist, so.... Maybe you should buy it, Laura!

I used the Live Help feature on the site and the rep checked and said it's completely sold out in stores. I bookmarked the page so I can keep checking in case of a return. I also messaged the eBay seller to see if she'd consider lowering the Buy it Now price for me. She says we can negotiate if it doesn't sell by Sunday.

There's no Ross or Marshalls here in Canada, but I'll be at a big outlet mall in Washington in a week and a bit, so I'll definitely be checking there. Also...

...I just scored a $600+ diaper bag in my favourite shade of cognac, in like-new condition, for $140! I can't believe it. It's a gorgeous, gorgeous bag that I can use long after we're past the diaper phase. It's THIS ONE!:

It's coming to me from the US, but I'll post pics when it arrives.

So, maybe the Sak one just wasn't meant to be so that I could snag this amazing one, which will see more use anyway in this phase of my life.
