What do I wear to my wedding??

I'm trying to figure out what to wear to my wedding! It will be small and casual and non-traditional. I don't want to wear a dress, but I don't want to wear a pants suit either. I'd like to be able to wear flats since we are almost the same height! I'd like the top to be white or ivory but I'm open to colored bottoms. I just don't even know where to start! I'm also plus sized so there's that. Help!

Do you have any thoughts about flowers and decor? I'm thinking those could be suggestive of a direction to go in. Also, I'm partial to the idea of blue for brides. I'm pre-Victorian in spirit

I once went to a wedding where the bride wore an ivory embroidered fitted top and full ivory skirt for the wedding ceremony, then immediately after (for the reception) changed the skirt for a pair of dark emerald green silky wide legged pants. She didn't like skirts, and she looked terrific.

You want to wear something that makes you feel fantastic in. What is your favourite thing to wear? To figure this out, look at photos where you think you look your best and then develop your outfit from there. I have always loved coat dresses, so my wedding dress was a silk coat dress in white. It felt like me, which was the most important thing. I hope you have a wonderful time selecting your wedding outfit, this should be the fun part!

Thanks, yall!! Great suggestions It's going to be very casual, as in, no actual reception and a very laid-back ceremony. I'm most comfortable in tunic-style tops and fitted pants. I'm thinking about maybe some type of darker colored slacks with an ivory tunic top? Like, dark burgundy or navy straight slacks and an ivory or cream tunic with maybe flat heeled boots (if I can find some) or some cute flats? My partner will most likely be in black slacks and a button down, no tie.

Will it be a Winter wedding? Two of the most beautiful Winter brides I've seen wore separates: one a long ivory wool pencil skirt with a fitted and embroidered ivory jacket, plus ruby suede heels and a bouquet of deep red roses; the other a full platinum gray taffeta skirt and a fitted white cashmere or angora sweater, tucked in, with white lilies. Gorgeous!

A good friend just got married in a spotaneous casual way. She wore a floral rock-and-roll chiffon dress and cowboy boots. They rode off into the sunset on the groom's motorcycle.

So what if you did these styles in a luxurious fabric like satin (or leather?) pants with a silk or lace top? The outfit would be 'you' but would still read as special...which a wedding certainly is! I like your idea of burgundy and ivory.
