So I've been searching for non-jean jean jacket for a bit.

I found this one today at local boutique. It's by Rachel Comey. When I tried to look it up, it turns out to be from a 2013 collection. But it's one of those things that's a bit outside of trends.

Also I found out the boutique is going to stop selling Etoile Isabel Marant. Sales associate agreed that she's become repetitive and she also made the minimum order far too much for a small boutique.

I like this. Fan of Rachel Comey, but too short for most of her stuff. And I agree Isabel Marant is past her peak, Etoile or otherwise.

It does have some baseball jacket similarities but with the cropped length, the style of the pockets and three quarter sleeves, it's more feminine and actually a little dressy.
I really like this and I agree, it is "a bit outside of trends". Very cute, and looks very wearable too.

I like the shade of distressed denim. I will be interested to know whether or not you find the jacket as versatile as a traditional denim jean jacket. I have a faded denim blazer but hardly ever wear it.

Oh, wow. I really like that jacket. I could see myself wearing it a lot. I'm picturing it over longer, flowy layers, over dresses, untucked shirts.

I love that it's got some unconventional touches. But I also like that one from Club Monaco.

I like the flight jacket bomber from Rick Owens. I ordered one last year but the sleeves were far too long while the chest was tight. I don't think I have the Rick Owens body type. This one from Haider Ackerman might fit better.

Have to say it's sad but true about Isabel... she's jumped the shark. And on that note, hipsterdom has jumped the shark. It's all hoi-polloi now.

Cracking up. Rachy-lou, what is hoi-polloi style? Like normcore? Because I am so looking at that jacket which have had several times over the years, and been kinda yearning over it again. Retro futurism makes me feel much better about buying it again!

I saw the Club Monaco jacket today. Very nice! The online pic doesn't do it justice. It looks just like denim but it's not....it's very soft.
