Non control top sheer nude hose?

Does such a thing exist anymore? Searching for a soft, non binding waistband for the rare occasions I want or need to wear sheer pantyhose. A no waistband style, like the Commando brand opaque tights would be perfect.

Along the lines of the pretty conversation, not everyone cares enough for the tiniest bit flatter stomach to be willing to put up with the discomfort of control top. Just wearing hose at all is all the discomfort I can take...I can't imagine putting up with control top to squish things in, what, a half inch at most?

I actually usually buy the Rack version (branded specifically for the rack) but it's not available online. It's called "everyday sheer" if you have a rack nearby.

I'm with you. I don't want anything binding me! I thought that Donna Karan had some non control top options, but when I looked at the Nordstrom website, I didn't see them. However, I did see these thigh high tights, which would be a nice waistless option, if they stayed up. The Nordstrom brand had several options, including these.

Or in a pinch, l'eggs from the drugstore. I think they do have control top but it's a pretty crummy one so doesn't feel very tight.

I also always buy all my hose a size too big.

I would love to hear more about this! I threw out all my long waisted tights because they were killing me!

Have you looked into this French company called, DIM? They have a non-binding hose. I found that I got a size up and needed to be true to size in my selection. Sizing up makes the hose roll down so try getting it true to size!

I just looked and Commando does make sheers now. I wonder how well they last, though. Sheer nylons usually don't survive many uses, unlike thick opaque tights, so I wouldn't want to throw away $34 in one or two wears.

I agree - digestive issues mean any pressure on my tummy is my least favorite thing. I really wish thigh-highs stayed up better.

I also dislike control-top panty hose. They are very uncomfortable. What they squish to make a tighter look always pops above in the form of a muffin top. I think they are instruments of torture.
I go for Hanes non-control top or for No nonsense non-control top.

I also find tights to be too unbreathable in the crotch, which can cause problems for me. I'm curious if anyone has tried anything like this combo thigh high / garter belt style:

MaryK, those Hanes Silk Reflections were my favorites in the past also but I haven't been able to find them for a few years. I don't think they make them anymore. I even checked the Hanes website and all they show on their own website is a few kinds, all control top.

If you found them, where did you get them?

I bought some French cut sheers at Nordstrom Rack a few years back; I'm assuming they still carry them. They were under $4 and the same price as their everyday (thicker) ones. Rack hose come in fewer colors than the Nordstrom ones, but what I bought were fine.
