Like others here on the forum, I have struggled with noisy, jingling zipper pulls on some of my booties that threatened their place in my closet/on my feet. Last week I McGuyver'ed this solution that I'm hoping will help others. All you need is a stretch fabric bandage. You will be cutting a small piece (with the paper backing on) that is just large enough to cover the lower half of the zipper pull crown (see diagram). The idea being that you add width to it so that when the pull is down, it will stay closed, or, if it doesn't, at least it can't clank against the metal. The tricky bit will be color of the material. My zipper on the white booties is black, so I used a Sharpie to color the tan fabric partially, so that you could still see that it was a bandage for this post. I have since finished coloring it and you absolutely cannot see it unless you put the boot up to your face. For the gold or metallic zipper, I may have to get out some art pens or buy specific sharpies. I imagine one could use duct tape in a similar fashion, so work with what you have. Hope this helps!
