Here we go with the "day" part of my resort wardrobe.
That's all simple clothes to wander around, visit markets, etc. I wanted things that looked nice but at a very low cost because I knew that our Irish weather wouldn't provide many occasions to wear such summery clothes.
I'm proud to say that I got the lot for around 30 Euros and they all look rather pretty, if I can say so myself. All the capris/bermudas were pants in a previous life: I'm quite handy with a sewing machine and I gave them all a summer cut.
1. The top is a 4Euro find in Benetton and I like its floaty shape. The printed capris were reduced to 6E in Penney's (bit like your Walmart).
2. Got the green capris in a charity shop for 1Euro. The top was bought for 5 Euros in the H&M sales. (Note: I am not showing cleavage, I just don't bother anymore with the special foundation to cover the bypass scar. Those who don't like it can look somewhere else.)
3. Same printed capris worn with a linen blouse (a brand new Marks & Spencer with the tags on) that I was lucky enough to buy in a charity shop for 6 Euros.
4. This nice chiffon top was also bought in a charity shop for 4,50E and I got the white pants in the same place for 2 Euros. Serendipity.
5. This is my outfit for places where I need to be more modest. I made the blouse myself with silk bought in Amman last year. It weighs 1 gram, washes like a hankerchief, dries in minutes. It will be part of my permanent traveling gear. The capris were flared jeans - but very flared, bell bottoms like! 2 Euros and 1 hour of work, and voilà!
