Would you all please describe what you want in alternative styles?
I hope to never see skorts, coulotes (sp) , gauchos, or any of those things ever again, and will never wear anything like that. Wider leg pants in any length shorter than full length pants are called capris, right? If women are suppose to look so awful in capris what is the alternative? If they have skinny legs we just call them cropped skinnies and not capris, so that makes women buy them because someone loudly and clearly told them not to wear capris.
I certainly can see knowing what lengths and widths of any kind of pants and or bottoms one feels comfortable wearing, and feels looks best on them. However I have to add, and it has been said on another board in a discussion of frumpy, wider leg bottoms are cooler in hot weather than something that is tighter to leg to let air circulate, and they will wear them when shorts are not appropriate or for any reason not to wear shorts--or bare legs with skirt.
Another thought, as baby boomers are aging more women are aging out of bare legs in shorter skirts or shorts, so we need alternatives that don't make us suffocate in the heat.
