No luck on DKNY dress but....

the Piperlime dress works! It is shorter and better fitting and the shoulders are not too tight!

The DKNY dress is too long and loose and my DH's comment that it looked like a hippie dress sealed it for me. Nothing wrong with boho but I was not going for that look. Also it is cut on the bias and that is a tough cut to wear. Oh well, live and learn.

Oh I'm so sorry the DKNY dress didn't work. I loved the designs in her Pure DKNY line. Or is it the other way around. The designs made me think of Helmut Lang. I spent spent some time looking at everything when you linked to that dress -- there were a few things I really wanted but your experience makes me think those designs might look best on those 5'7" and above.

Ah curse it!-( I had high hopes for the DKNY dress, Una, so sorry it didn't work out. But it's perfect then that you were able to find the Piperlime dress after all (yay for Gryffin!). Are you thinking about wearing the Sam & Lavi frock to Sundance?

I've been waiting for news about the DKNY dress, and I now can't help but feel disappointed. I really liked that print and wanted that one to work out, too. At least one dress worked out, and I'll be looking forward to its debut.

Oh darn about the DKNY but I'm glad the other one works! I thought about trying the DKNY -- do you think there's any hope it will work on my very-opposite-of-yours body type?

Janet. I'm not sure - the bias cut top layer was really odd on me but it was all over so not just a "wrong body shape" issue. I think you need to be tall to make it look like the model and frumpy. I will post a picture which I wasn't planning to do but it may help you see what is going on.
