While sorting out my essentials, I realized that they have changed very little in the past 4 years. The proof is that my essentials list for RIGHT NOW is nearly identical to what I packed for a 1 month vacation to the UK shortly after I joined YLF.

#1 T-shirts (mostly striped) year 'round
#2 turleneck sweaters I n black, blue, and grey (winter/fall)
#3 sleeveless tanks (often lace) (spring/summer)
#4 straight leg cotton pants/jeans (and the 5 in the pic are all Hanna High Rise from MWWH) which I wear cropped or rolled to reveal ankle
#5 motto/jean jacket style toppers - spring/summer
#6 round toed sneakers
#7 pointy toe flats

A few thing I know, but don't understand - I wear boots and booties, but don't own a lot. I wear them because of winter weather, but as soon as possible I will put them to the back of the closet in favour of flats and sneakers! Boots are not intrinsic to my style. I wear almost no jewellery - not even my wedding ring! I do have diamond sleepers in my ears, but that's it! I have button downs, a few skirts, dress slacks, some sweaters, dresses, a blazer style jacket, and some tunic/shirt dresses, but they are not part of my core wardrobe, even if they are in my core colours. Almost all my outerwear is black (trench, peacoat, puffer, dress coat). This is kind of sad.

If I was going to travel to the UK again, I would probably pack very much the same way I did 4 years ago - and I could do it, too!
