So sorry the pant suit didn’t work out. The pants will look great with your blazer from last year, though. Super fun color!

(*´Д`*)
That sucks, I’m sorry it didn’t work as a whole.

I'm more enamored of the velvet pants now that you say they are more chartreuse than mustard. Have a soft spot for chartreuse. Maybe it's the word as much as anything, lol. Sorry about the darned blazer fit, but happy you got the bottom half of the suit!

Bugger

Hmm... Maybe if you ate a cheesecake three or four times a day you may just " grow into it. "

...or maybe layer a medium to chunky sweater underneath ?

Too bad about the jacket. I do love your floral one from last year. I'd like to order from Boden again, but it makes me nervous. I'm an 8-10 most times in North American sizing. As a Canadian, I order from the UK site (and NO complaints with delivery. FAST!). I followed the size guides and ordered 2 dresses in UK 12. One (the spendy one!) was a perfect fit, however the other one was tight across the chest and shoulders. I donated it, since it was at a low sale price and I didn't want to deal with returns to the UK. Should I go up to UK14?

Measurements are pretty steady 36-30-38 with bra size 32D but I have broad, straight shoulders with some development from weight training and swimming. I would LOVE to order more from Boden, but suspect returns would be a nightmare. Any advice?

Wah for suit!
Glad you have the pants. Sometimes it’s hard to know whether to keep one part. But good- fitting pants in a fun color are great, and velvet can go dressy or smart casual.

Too bad about the jacket, but glad the pants worked. They will be fab with the other items you showed.

Sorry to hear that the blazer did not work. Thank you for posting on these items that don't work perfectly for you. I have been bad at rationalising keeping items that simply did not fit properly but that I wanted to work. I have found your example with the Boden coat and other forum members to be very helpful in not settling with something that is just not right. Whilst I may not enjoy returns, it is far preferable to having items in my closet that are rarely worn and end up being donated or sitting in my wardrobe making me feel bad when I see them...

Aw, I'm crying with you. I hate it when you find something so perfect and then you're sized out. It hurts.

Such a shame about the blazer, Angie!-(( But I do absolutely love the trousers with last year's blazers and your gorgeous coat, so you will still look super fabulous!!

Thanks for the commiseration, ladies. Love my pants and NEXT

RunCarla, why don't you post that question on a separate thread, and we'll try to help you out.

I'm sorry the blazer didn't work but I have 100% confidence that you'll rock the pants many ways! Can't wait to see them in action.

I am shocked, because until I read Angie's comment on this thread, I really thought I was sized out of Boden. I assumed they ran small, but Angie's comment that they tend to run big on the larger end of the sizing scale gives me some hope. I was really shocked to read that, because I always thought they ran small, maybe it was in my head, but I could swear I heard of people sizing up in Boden, but maybe that was people on the small end of the scale. Anyway, maybe I'll reconsider some Boden items!
Thanks as always.

You are always an inspiration on your insistence on perfect fit Angie. A better suit might be just around the corner.
