It's funny, but I just checked out a stack of fashion/style books from the library and one of them is Nina Garcia's The Little Black Book of Style. I'm really enjoying it! Did you know she grew up in Columbia, travelling the world with her parents and then went to boarding school in Massachusetts? What culture shock that must have been! It's nice to know what her background is, to better understand and appreciate her style.
