Nice items I saw at the store today

I saw the very lovely Ted Baker backpack and tote. I successfully talked myself out of them with the help of my hydrangea bag. I end up wearing it only in the Summer and decided I do not need another similar bag.
Another item was the Marc Jacobs convertible backpack. Oh so lovely, I almost bought it but resisted.
Then I had fun trying on hats and at last I replenished my waterproof eye pencils from Chanel. Those were not on sale but needed to be replenished.
The Paul Green Stella booties (photo 4) look gorgeous and very well made. They have tiny studs along the base. If I were looking for booties those would be mine.
What I did buy were the AG mules in ice white. Now I will decide if I will keep those or the Madewell. I have worn the latter in the black and they are very comfortable but I think the AG are trendier.
The last two pictures are from the Madewell. The AG may be a bit too pointy and the Madewell a bit too round. There is always something to be picky about . What are your thoughts on those?

If you'd wear both of the mules, then I'd keep both. The Madewell ones seem a bit more casual, with the stacked heel. Or, decide based on when/where you'd wear them, and which is a better fit for the occasion. Cute hat and bag in #3!

Love the photo of you in the hat! You look adorable in it! Those Paul Greens also look terrific.

The Baker bags are gorgeous but your reasoning is good on that. For me, the two mules have a very different vibe -- the Madewells are casual, as Kathie says, and the AG's are more dressy.

I could not decide between those two pair of shoes. Perhaps Kathie's suggestion of deciding based on when/where you'd wear them, and which is a better fit for the occasion, is the best approach.

Good to see that several of you would also have difficulty deciding between the AG and the Madewell, so I am not alone in that. It looks like I will need an outfit session to decide on this. @Deb, at this point it seems that the AG are winning in my mind.
Good idea, @Kathie, @Suz and @Sterling, to see when each would be worn although I suspect they would be for similar occasions but the AG could provide a dressier option as well.
@Barbara Diane, good point, any decision that I make will be successful since they are both good mules. I wish everything had such a favorable outcome, right?
If anyone else has input it will also be appreciated.

@Thistle, the bag is more than lovely, well made, good quality AND lighweight which is a requirement for my bags as I want them to be as light as possible. I think you will enjoy it a lot. Let us know what you think when you receive it.
@Sterling, the hat is not the one in the find that you provided. The one that I tried on was around $45-50 so a lot better price point. The find looks lovely as well.

Another who thinks the mules are completely different. Your plan of a try on is best - because while different i do think they would steal wears from each other.

I would go for the mule that is the most comfortable. The Maedwell look more classic almond toe. The AGs would be more leg lengthening if that is something you desire.

I agree with Suz about the mules. Ted Baker bags are sturdy and gorgeous, and I get compliments every time I carry mine from last year.

I resisted the Ted Baker butterfly scarf, even though that was really pretty too!

I don't think I fully agree with Angie. I think you would be better served deciding on the occasions you would wear them and which is better suited for that type of occasion. Once again it seems to come back to buying for your actual life style and not an imaginary life style.

@Joy, I agree, I think comfort will be one of the deciding factors.
@Janet, your Ted Baker bag is absolutely gorgeous and the dark background extends its wear across the seasons. I will keep my eyes peeled for a Ted Baker bag.

@kkards, yes, both the AGL and the Madewell are easy to walk in. AGL has a thin rubber sole and the heel is a little lower than that of the Madewell.
@Angie, thank you for your opinion, I am leaning towards keeping the AGLs.
@Sterling, thank you for the reminder about what is practical and what is more for an imaginary lifestyle. Where I live I have use for either pair but I think the AGLs are more flexible to be worn for casual occasions as well as for dressier ones, that is why I am thinking they will win. I enjoy wearing the Madewells in black so I will not be missing out on them regardless of what I decide.

Some beautiful picks, you have a great eye for bags and shoes! So great to see you enjoying shopping the sale. Australian sales are often an awful experience where you have to cue up for change rooms and the stock is not well displayed. NAS looks like shopping utopia.
