Just wanted to share with fellow Canadians that there are very nice wide leg cropped pants at The Bay. They are very comfortable (stretchy ponte - perfect for working from home :-)) but also look polished (to my eye anyway). The quality of the fabric is very nice and the deep dark blue color is beautiful. They do not look as wide leg on me as on the model. I wore them today with a cropped citron Tippi sweater, turquoise scarf and cognac knee-high boots and felt great. If you want to try this trend have a look!
JAileen, thanks for tracking them in US. I titled it "for Canadians' because here in Canada our good online shopping options with free shippings and returns are very slim so each good find is a treasure Jay, looks like Chaps is a Ralph Lauren brand for "Casual sportswear, workday, and dresses": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.....orporation They do seem pretty conservative but leave no retail stone unturned as one wise person we know likes to say I also bought a sweater dress there which I really like - see finds. Looks like it is already sold out though. Inge - thanks! I am still here and kicking
You know something - I saw these the other week and registered interest while walking by the rack. I also laughed - Chaps is a label I haven't seen in years. Weird. I'll pop in to the store this week and look at them again. Thanks!
I'm sure they're great on you. It's funny how brand names move around and mean different things over time. I always think of Chaps as one of the casual Ralph Lauren lines for men.
Alas, I am not shopping at the Bay now so will have to forego experimentation with anything there -- it is going to be a sacrifice come shoe shopping time....
