Jenava's got my wheels turning. I have a hair cut and color in 2 weeks, and I am really wanting some kind of change. Here's a summary of where I am/what I am thinking.
- tried an asymmetrical cut this summer and did not like it (too 80s feeling, plus see next 2 points)
- absolutely do not like a big long bang in my face, which does not work for my job and looks stupid pinned back
- don't really like high-drama high-concept hair, really prefer hipster edge (if this is even a thing, haha)
- not sure I want to go super short but do like short cuts
- always have to fight the "news anchor" look because I am 50+ and have well-behaving hair
- color is actually pretty good, with lots of gold highlights from last color and the sun, although I may add lowlights as a way to start deepening color for winter months
Here is a recent picture of me.
I've narrowed the field of possibilities to three. Do you like any of these, or would you suggest something else?
Sleeker: Now just one sleek left (orig #2) Carey Mulligan -- I like this the best because there is some choppiness to it, and it has a clean neck.
I have removed Kristen Stewart (orig #5) because I really can't commit to a style that requires a curling iron, and I'm just not that good with tools -- although not bad with a straightener, and very good with product.
Shaggy: I've kept 2 shaggy looks (orig #6 Lisa Rinna and 7 unnamed model) which are possible but I think the last is the hardest because I don't have enough natural coarseness.
